PC Tips #1 – Keeping Your Computer Error Free

As technology advances to provide the world with useful things so does the room for error. Each new program or major program update usually requires at least a few months for all of the errors to surface. You have issues such as operating system compatibility to hardware problems.

Ironically, just yesterday I experienced a new error on my work laptop, the notorious Windows error 1935. The error effects two versions of Microsoft office, both 2007 and 2010. It typically occurs during installation which is exactly what I was doing! I found a quick guide to repair it and was able to get back to work within minutes.

My biggest tips for keeping your PC error are are updating your drivers, always run an anti-virus, and don’t download software that you are unsure about. The biggest point here being the software downloads. I cannot even begin to tell you how many friends and family members I have helped with PC troubleshooting because of this. It is usually just kids download games or screen savers but it can cause all sorts of damage nevermind the possible viruses.
